Analytical and passionate about technology and specifically hardware
You are most likely trained or experienced in hardware, but whether you are specifically trained as a computer technician, electrician, electronics technician or something completely different is not central. Your mindset and interest in technology and hardware, as well as a structured way of working, are most important.
You do not need to have experience with data center equipment, but it is optimal if you have 3-5 years of experience with electronic hardware including servicing and troubleshooting, and if you have previously worked as a service technician, it will be an added advantage.
Of course, you have strong IT skills and knowledge of the MS Office package, and an additional advantage if you have experience with:
- Servers: IBM, HP, Lenovo and Dell
- Storage: Hitachi, EMC, DELL, NetApp, IBM and HPE
- Networking: Cisco, Brocade, HP, IBM and Juniper
Much of your work will be in collaboration with your technician colleagues, our sales and warehouse staff, so it is important that you can work well across departments, while also being able to work independently and collaborate daily. In addition, we value your analytical and structured approach. Quality is paramount at Nordic Computer, which requires a methodical way of working and a sense of duty towards described test procedures. We are proud of our professional collaboration in the technical department, where knowledge sharing between employees is a cornerstone.
